Another great…”CODY’S-ZOFFICE!” 🙂
Hey Cody, another good, informational episode and you haven’t missed a beat during my absence. Need to do a lot of catching up. Keep up the great work!

Re the tank cars: When were the prototype cars made? I went to the manufacturer’s site and could not find information about the prototype.
Jim Craft
No mention of what era/time-frame is appropriate for those new tank cars…?
Thanks Cody.
Please remember to tell your audience if the new models have the correct weight for their size.
If not, how the modeler can add the appropriate weight to these new cars that are RTR.
Great information on the data only cars. I have used Atlas and Accurail data only cars for my Turtle Creek Central hoppers.
That’s a great decal sheet, still available from Microscale.
Cabooses disappeared !!??? There still are some out there running in revenue service. You can still see them on local NS switch jobs at Roanoke, VA as one example.
Another reason why the mfgrs feature RTR cars is that the Atlas Rep at a train show told me their research showed “that’s what the market wants.” I replied they didn’t ask me. This thinking is also a reason why Accurail is successful.
See you at TF.
Regards,
MH
Hi Cody,
I received the Caboose book a couple weeks ago. It is great and I highly recommend it for any caboose-geeks like me.
Hey I was in Park Rapids, MN last week visiting in-laws. Beautiful country, but sadly we didn’t quite get to Crookston. Perhaps next time I’ll get there for some railfanning!
Best regards,
Michael Loik
