DENVER — Ryan Higgins has been named chief commercial officer of OmniTRAX, the shortline and transportation affiliate of the Denver-based Broe Group. Higgins comes to OmniTRAX from CSX Transportation, where he held multiple sales, marketing, business development, and operations positions. Most recently, he was senior director of merchandise sales.
“Ryan is a dynamic team leader who brings a deep mix of strategy, experience and consistent results to chart our continued company growth,” OmniTRAX CEO Dean Piacente said in a press release.
Higgins begins work in his new position on Aug. 16. He will replace Chief Commercial Officer Peter Touesnard, who has announced plans to retire at the end of 2021 following eight years as part of OmniTRAX senior leadership and 30 years in the transportation industry.
