Metrolink logoLOS ANGELES — Metrolink will expand its recently introduced Saturday service on its Ventura County line, extending its single round trip to serve the Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura-East stations as of this Saturday, Aug. 14.

The service was introduced May 29 and only extended as far as Moorpark, while also serving Simi Valley, Chatsworth, Northridge, Van Nuys, Burbank, Glendale, and Los Angeles Union Station. The extended operation will see an inbound train depart Ventura-East at 8:15 a.m. and arrive at Union Station at 10:07 a.m. The return trip departs Union Station at 4:28 p.m. and arrives at Ventura-East at 6:16 p.m. The full schedule is available at the Metrolink website.

“The expanded Saturday service means even more families can take safe, affordable trips to explore Ventura and Los Angeles counties and avoid bumper-to-bumper weekend freeway traffic,” Darren Kettle, executive director of the Ventura County Transportation Commission, said in a press release. Kettle will become Metrolink CEO on Sept. 7.
