CTT editor Hal Miller gets some track time running Lionel’s Legacy Genset locomotive (BNSF, no. 2133100, $599.99; other road names available). The O gauge model is based on a 2,100-hp 3GS21B unit from National Railway Equipment. It looks like a switcher, but it’s capable of doing the work of a road engine. Check out the detail including the see-through grilles on the long hood, detailed trucks, and fine lettering.
