Road names: GP15-1. Rock Island Rail (blue, one road number), Conrail (blue with small “Quality,” large “Quality,” and Operation Lifesaver heralds, one number each), and Missouri Pacific (Jenks Blue. Early as-delivered paint with Chicago & Eastern Illinois herald on cab and with and without front pilot stripe, one number each). GP15T. Apalachicola Northern (blue and white, two numbers), CSX (“Blue stripe” repaint with yellow ends and frame stripe. With Chesapeake & Ohio sublettering in one number and CSXT sublettering in two numbers), Denver & Rio Grande Western (fictional black-and-orange scheme, two numbers), and Southern Pacific (fictional scarlet-and-gray scheme, two numbers).

  1. Athearn says 1977 to present, but if they are truly modeling a present day version you need ditch lights, no front or rear footboard steps and modern uncoupling levers. Don’t see these features mentioned.
