The Hobby Manufacturers Association presented the 2022 Bobbye Hall Distinguished Service Award to Stacey Walthers Naffah, president of Wm. K. Walthers Inc. The award is named in honor of the late Bobbye Hall, who served the model railroad industry in various capacities during her career.

Stacey was nominated for the award “for her continuous dedication and her selfless service of promoting the model railroad industry,” per the Bobbye Hall Award page on the HMA website.
Specifically noted were her efforts partnering with the Discovery World Museum in Milwaukee. She worked with museum staff to develop a model railroad summer camp for children. Stacey also played a key role in the “All Aboard” model railroad on display. The layout was featured in the September 2022 issue of Model Railroader, and in trains.com content.
In addition to her efforts with Discovery World, Stacey and her team developed the “Build A World” subscription service offered by Walthers. The six-month program contains parts to build a 12 x 24-inch diorama.
