Railroad Name: Seligman and Paulden Lines
Location: Paulden, AZ
Scale: O
Theme: Railroading through the Southwest
Description: The arrival of Lionel’s new hybrid Santa Fe Mikado triggered an idea to do a video featuring all Santa Fe trains. We start at downtown Chicago at Union Station (I know, a bit far from the Southwest) and follow Santa Fe trains coming from and heading west from there.
Old time railroading at its its very bast.
All Aspects nicely done! A pleasure to watch!
Outstanding video and an unbelievable layout. I have a warm spot in my heart for the Santa Fe ever since the days they used to run out of Paris, Texas — my hometown. I remember one time in particular when an engineer there at the depot let me climb up in the cab of one of those zebra jeeps and actually pull the throttle back and make that behemoth move on down the track. Talk about scary but exciting too. Plus the Santa Fe line ran right behind my Grandpa’s house in Dallas, in Oak Cliff. So, I appreciate your salute to that particular road. Thanks.
very original presentation, and impressive, too!
What a beautiful layout! The video does a great job of capturing the fantastic operation. Thanks for sharing1
Bill, I live in Northern Arizona, within sight of the BNSF (Santa Fe) line to Phoenix.
It’s a fantastic layout! Where is it?
