  1. Menards: You just get better! My wife and I shopped at the Piggly Wiggely in Ennis Texas in the 70s when we lived there. Every Wednesday was double S&H green stamps day and we were able to fill up a book in no time. I was switching in Dallas on the AT&SF at the time but living in Ennis had the advantage of being able to railfan the Southern Pacific plus the Ft. Worth & Denver and Rock Island across the lake in nearby Bardwell.
