What was your first train set (or locomotive)?
My first train set was a Revell freight train set my father built for me when I was 12 years old. I remember the switcher locomotive was Atlantic Coast Line purple/silver. My father also had an American Flyer S scale layout when I was a toddler.
Describe your model railroading philosophy in 6 words.
Good enough, operations, smooth running, sharing.
What has been your biggest modeling success?
Building an On30 layout to near completion that was featured in a few magazines.

Taking down a huge HO scale layout built for operations.
What’s your least favorite modeling task?
That’s easy–ballasting track!
What project(s) have you been working on recently?
Taking down and selling off my On30 layout and switching back to HO scale FreeMo layout
What advice would you give to a new hobbyist?
Have fun. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, try anything you want to, and join a group if possible.
