Keolis names Shaw as chief operating officer for North America

Logo of Keolis North AmericaBOSTON — Steve Shaw has been named as chief operating officer for Keolis North America, the first person to hold that position for the company’s transit operations in the region.

Shaw previously served as president and CEO of Keolis Transit America, overseeing bus operations across the U.S.

“Steve’s experience in our industry and at Keolis make him an invaluable member of the Keolis team,” David Scorey, Keolis North America CEO, said in a press release. “I’m excited to have him on our executive committee as our first-ever COO for Keolis North America. I anticipate his many contributions to Keolis to include continued contract growth and strong service delivery for our partners and passengers.”

Keolis rail operations in North America include serving as contract operator for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority commuter rail; Virginia Railway Express; and the ION light rail system in Waterloo, Ontario. It also operates bus systems in Florida, Nevada, California, Virginia, and Quebec.
