Spaces remain for Illinois Railway Museum night steam photo event

UNION, Ill. — A few spaces remain for a night photo session set for Oct. 7 at the Illinois Railway Museum as part of its “Steam Into Fall” event, marking the end of the museum’s 2023 operating season. The session will feature Frisco No. 1630, the museum’s “Russian Decapod” built by Baldwin in 1918, and J. Neils Lumber Shay No. 5, built by Lima in 1929. The shoot will take place at various locations on the museum property, featuring appropriately dressed steam crews and actors, with IRM providing professional lighting.

The event will start at 5 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person. Participants must have their own tripod and a camera in which they can manually control shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
