The company also says three scholarships are co-sponsored by Amtrak Employee Resource Groups “which provide a way to connect, contribute. and foster belonging by raising awareness. For high school seniors who have been profoundly influenced by their experiences with the Hispanic/Latinx, Black/African American, or Asian American/Pacific Islander communities, Amtrak offers three scholarships as their commitment to fostering a brighter future and offering financial assistance to those students who have shown exceptional courage, community engagement, and leadership arising from their unique cultural narratives.”

Candidates can submit more than one application. Scholarships will help with tuition, fees, books, and/or equipment. Information and applications are available here.

  1. Well, if AI is also included we could name it STEAM instead of STEM. Has a nicer ring to it, wouldn’t you say?

  2. A new definition of STEM. One a computer will not catch because the spelling is correct. One you can only catch by reading what you type. STEM is science, technology, engineering, or math not match.
