Rapido Trains has announced a tour across the continental United States.
The tour, which began on March 17th at the California Southern Model Railroad Club in Los Angeles, will make stops at model railroad clubs, rail museums, and hobby shops from California to Michigan en route to Rapido Trains headquarters in Toronto.
Per a statement from Rapido Trains: “We’ve been dropping hints for weeks and we’re finally here to confirm that the Rapido Trains team is hitting the road…by GO bus?! For two weeks in March from the 17th through the 28th, our team members will be visiting some of our favorite railway museums, clubs, and hobby shops in the USA. Our tour will kick off in Southern California and we’ll be making numerous stops all the way back to Toronto.”
Rapido staff will be traveling the nation in a Suburuban “Fishbowl” bus purchased from Dreamliner Bus Leasing & Service in 2023, which was then restored and repainted to match its original GO transit livery. The bus is powered by a 8V71 Detroit Diesel matched to a VS-2 automatic transmission. This bus matches the HO scale new look Suburban “Fishbowl” bus which was recently announced by Rapido.
More information about the Rapdio Trains US tour can be found here. Upcoming stops include Dallas, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, and more.
Not much for those in the South and Pacific Northwest.
