Greenbrier names Donfris as chief financial officer

Executive joins railcar firm from R.J. Corman Railroad Group

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Michael J. Donfris has been named chief financial officer at railcar manufacturer and leasing firm The Greenbrier Companies, Greenbrier has announced.

Donfris comes from R.J. Corman Railroad Group, where he has been COF since 2020. He will initially be senior vice president, finance, and will become CFO and principal financial officer in July. He previously spent almost 30 years in corporate accounting and finance at Kimberly-Park before joining TrinityRail, where he served in senior financial roles including vice president of finance and chief accounting officer.

He has a strong record of driving financial performance, optimizing business processes and delivering results. Michael will enhance financial operations and partner on strategy development to accelerate Greenbrier’s progress and elevate its position as the global leader in freight rail supply.”
