The 1-hour video will cover the epic task of creating the Pacific Railroad in the tumultuous period following the American Civil War. It will bring to life the hard work of Irish and Chinese immigrants who labored under difficult and dangerous conditions to build a railroad in a wilderness where no railroads had ever existed before. It will chronicle the financiers, civil engineers, and visionaries behind the project, such as Leland Stanford, Theodore Judah, Thomas Durant, and the Ames brothers. It will describe the two railroads racing to the finish at Promontory Summit, Utah, the Central Pacific and the Union Pacific. It will go into the infamous Credit Moblier that made the railroad that Abraham Lincoln commissioned possible. It will shine a spotlight on the real Hell on Wheels tent towns that followed the construction camps.
