NEWINGTON, Conn. — Shore Line East commuter rail service will gain two additional round trips and see the resumption of direct service between Stamford, Conn., and New London as of Monday, Oct. 7, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced.
Added are westbound trains No. 1633, departing New London at 5:46 a.m. and arriving at Stamford at 7:53 a.m., and No. 1695, departing New London at 9:05 p.m. and arriving at New Haven Union Station at 10:11 p.m. Westbound, new train No. 1600 will depart New Haven at 4:25 a.m., arriving at New London at 5:29 a.m.; existing train No. 1638 will now depart Stamford at 4:13 p.m. and arrive at New London at 6:25 p.m., and new train No. 1640 will depart New Haven at 7:45 p.m. and arrive in New London at 8:50 p.m.
