The collision occurred about 6:15 a.m. at the Dulty’s Lane grade crossing; 36 people were aboard the train at the time of the incident. The injuries to those aboard the train were described as “non-life-threatening;” there was no report on whether the driver of the truck was injured.

River Line service was suspended for about three hours as a result of the collision.

  1. The line in question is ex-PRR and was the route of the PRR-PRSL Nellie Bly Express from NY Penn to Atlantic City via Trenton.

It is currently operated as a CR freight line overnight and a NJT light rail line other hours under Temporal Separation rules. 0615 time says this was one of the first NJT trains of the day.

  2. I can’t help but think this…
    Truck driver, “I think I can, I think I can, I think …Dammit!!” 😥😭
