The train has gathered 4.3 million pounds of food and raised more than $14.5 million (Canadian) since its inception.
“It is a privilege for CP to be able to run a program like this and connect with so many communities across our network.,” CP President and CEO Keith Creel said in a media release. “I want to personally thank each individual who has made a donation over the past 20 years – your collective efforts have made the Holiday Train a huge success for two decades.”
The CP Holiday Train do tend to do something with Thunder Lanes bowling alley in Allen Park,MI every year but thats it as far as them doing anything on NS tracks.
Compare Mr. Creel’s fine statement with the Amtrak statement cancelling the annual “Toys For Tots” train in upper NY State. How to make friends and influence people.
Hey Jim and Steve, Don’t just show up with your GoPro and hope to get a good spot to stream the show. Get in touch with CP and maybe do one of those promotional things – good for CP and good for Trains.
Hi Robert: No stops in Michigan or Indiana – could be that CP is on trackage or haulage rights in those states and did not or could not obtain permission for stops..
Frustrating that the train travels through Michigan and Indiana with no stops in either. So close but we can only watch it pass through.
