  1. The Ertl cars are ready-to-run, and have not been manufactured for many years.
    The Tichy cars are kits, and are currently available.
    The Ertl asnd Tichy cars are basically nearly identical models.
    Both are very light-weight due to lack of hiding spots for weight, and yet will run very well on this small harbor.
    Try adding metal wheelsets for a little extra tracking ability if needed.

    Walthers (ex Tru-Scale ex Train-Miniature) flat cars are very similar, also, and are heavier, having the familiar full sized sheet metal weight hidden under the deck. The underframe can make this flat car look a bit too high, so I trimmed the underframe to tuck into the ledge of the side sills.
