  1. Mike, gotta hand it to you. I wish I had space for something like this, and even the skill. This is the most impressive and accurate model representation i have ever seen. Every scene is so rich and when you think you've seen the best, the video keeps going. When the train emerged from a totally accurate representation of the Moffat tunnel…well it just doesn't get better than that. The transitions in scenery as the elevation increased, even the vegatation is stunning! I don't think there is one aspect of the hobby you haven't mastered. Cross this one off your bucket list. You're done!

  2. I saw the video for this and had to think twice about sticking with Ho scale. Awesome Layout!

  3. My Kudos to Mike. Not only for impressive modeling skills in realism, but georaphically accurate in the most ways practicle (available space). I ride my touring bike through those hills (CO 72, Coal Creek Canyon to Rollinsville and the tunnel) in the summer watching for trains where ever the viewing allows, as well as an Amtrak ride and find so much fine detail in this layout that it makes me feel like I am actually there watching the real Rio Grande pass by. Thanks so much for sharing your untold hours of skillful creativity. As a modeler at the HO club in the Golden museum, your work is highly appreciated no matter what scale is used. I can't wait to see how your Denver yards turn out. Any plans for an open house?
