Can you tell me what type of bridge was used for the elevated curve section right before the turnout? TIA
@ Donald Zins; There is a turntable located just above the dock tracks. A switcher could use that for a turn-around and push the train or individual cars alongside the ships or warehouses for unloading and then just pull 'em straight out.
Hi, This track plan doesn't show up very well, it is black layout with barely visible tracks. Can you folks fix this, I've had this happen with a few other track plans. I believe someone inverted the track plan. Love the layout but unable to see it properly. Thank you
I live in a small apartment and need a modular layout which can be stored when not in use. a small N-guage layout with possible add-on sections is the best I can manage. About 2-by-4 or 3-by-4 for thy basic layour is possible,
Ideal size for my room – even the door is in the right place. Great layout ideas will suit my needs with few minor alterations. Thank you for stimulating my planning activities.
Why is the layout print inverted, dark to view?? some other track layouts I viewed are not this style, is there a new type of system your using. I have a Mac 10.4.11 Tiger, would that be the issue?? Help me, my eyes aren't as young as they used to be, Thanks, Charlie
I haven't read the article yet, but I am very interested in studying this track plan. It seems to offer a good variety of operation in the space, and it appears to offer solutions to several problems I've encountered in trying to design for my own space.
Well thought through layout; especially like the logging detail of Mill Town and Timber and the follow-through with supporting "activities" (barrel factory). Illustrator Rick Johnson does a great job on all his layout work!
Very interesting layout but I have a question–when the trains arrive at the Port Thomas area, how do you turn them around for the return trip?
Very interesting layout and I especially like the way the reverse loop is incorporated into it. Gives me a lot of ideas for mine (which is in the planning stage). For the size….I love it.
