Lance hasn't only brought realistic model railroading to a new level, he has surpassed the legendary John Allen with his modeling skills. Knowing the kind of gentleman John was, he would be proud!
Amazing!…Inspired me to start my first layout. Spot on!
I grew up within walking distance of this line. The accuracy of Mr.Mindheim's modelling is spooky, almost too realistic. The cramped look is accurate. This line also served the Seaboard Air Line passenger station, not a good first impression of Miami. I can remember riding behind #4449 out of this station after she had completed her duty pulling the American Freedom Train in January, 1977. The stack noise was incredibly loud as it echoed off of the warehouses as she slowly negotiated these tracks. Dad and I also used to chase the Silver Meteor and Silver Star down the tracks paralleling North River Drive. Seaboard always coupled their E units elephant style.
Mr. Mindheim's modeling is excellent.
This layout has brought model railroading to a whole new level. So realistic it's like actually being there!
GREAT SEE GOOD WORKING SHORT LINE IN DOWN TOWN
FANTASTIC! The trashy look is super-real. I love it!
