PHILADELPHIA — Railfans who’ve yet to see AEM-7 locomotives in the wild will get one more chance to do so in the coming weeks as the last of Philadelphia’s operational fleet heads to NJ Transit for service on lease. 

Knowledgable observers spotted the string of so-called “toasters” on a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority line before a move to NJ Transit just before Christmas.

  1. This reminds me of a picture from the late 70’s or 80’s of GG1’s asking the musical question. How many want NJ Transit to buy these G’s, raise their hands? All the G’s had their “hands” raised’
