PITTSBURGH – Nickel Plate 2-8-4 No. 757 is still making tracks on its journey to Bellevue, Ohio, this week. The locomotive was spotted in east suburban Pittsburgh passing the Wabtec facility at Wilmerding on Wednesday morning. The facility was the longtime home of the Westinghouse Air Brake Co. and its successors.

The locomotive is moving west after more than 50 years at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.

A freshly painted Nickel Plate Road caboose will travel with the engine, carrying lubricants and tools and providing shelter for the crew.
