  1. The numbers refer to the inches of track elevation above the zero point.

    As for the turnout numbers and manufacturers, we don't have that information, because this is just a track plan; it was never actually built. Which turnouts you use depends on what's available from your choice of manufacturers. Building this, or any, track plan as drawn may require mixing and matching track parts from different manufacturers, modifying the length of turnouts to fit, or moving them slightly from their positions as drawn, depending on the actual turnouts' physical dimensions and geometry.

  2. on the Virginia & Southern RR layout what do the 2", 3", 6" mean? Can you identify the turnout numbers and manufacturers of such?.
