  1. The King of Layouts The MR&T. Andy did a good job when he built it we will miss him but Cody is finishing the layout in he memory. RIP Andy.

  2. Is it possible to get some information on the locomotive roaster and the numbering system being used? I would like to paint a series of locomotives for my personal use if posssible. Thanks much and a great pike plan.

  3. With the Bay Junction project complete, I think it is time to publish the current 2011 track plan for the MR&T, including the updated Troy branch. And perhaps an article on the CVP control system used. Number of districts, boosters, throttles (inc types), throttle jacks, radio (if any).

    Thanks.

  4. I agree with Paul Chaney! If you tape it, we will watch it!
I think the book that documents the MR&T would be a FINE addition to all of our libraries! After visiting Kalmbach and seeing the MR&T in person, I feel I have succedded in achiving something on my "bucket list"! A fantastic layout!

  5. I think there should be a book dedicated to the MR&T with lots of pictures and include all the project layout articles that were done on this layout. Hey why not a video of this awesome layout, that would be nice. The MR staff has done a great job on the WSOR project and the Bay Junction. I hope there will be more projects in the future on this big layout. Thanks MR!

  6. OK, I had problems downloading this, but then I thought about right clicking on it instead of following your links. When I rightclicked it offered the option to "save picture as", and then it offered it in .pdf instead of .ashx
It worked for me that way. what is this ashx format, and why isn't it simply offered in pdf format to begin with?

  7. I can't get this to download at all, but in the past I've downloaded plenty of trackplans from the main trackplan database, so there's obviously a glitch with this one.

  8. MRR's .pdf files only download as .ashx files. I can rename the files themselves to make it work, but I can imagine that can really throw off some other people, and I don't think it should be necessary. Can it be fixed?

  9. Being a Fan of steam power, I would like to see some information or articles on The MRT staem Facilities if all possible?

  10. I agree with you, RICHARD BLACKWOOD! The MR&T track-plan is not in MR track plan database.

In JAN 2011 issue the article on the BAY JUNCTION even says to download the MR&T track plan in the track plan database – but it is not there. Why not – since you are directing subscribers/readers to go download it?

Otherwise – the BAY JCT article has alot of great shelf layout ideas – as well as the HUGE MR&T layout, too. Thanks!

  11. This is so nice to finally see this available to people who have been subscribers for less than 15 years. I never would have guessed that there were windows looking in and a huge double deck staging yard. Thanks, MR!

  12. thank you , that let me understand in what you are doing with this track plan and showing how can make chance in my layout to get more best way of running railroad at home like a real one in the usa.

  13. It really gives me an idea of what railroading in the midwest is like. Living in Pennsylvania, I don't see it very often.
