  1. always enjoy your weekly comments, that’s how I knew who Brian was when he helped Cate show Lee, Susan and me around Trains office last summer. Adds something personal to just reading the stories. And great job with info on Trains FB page and also the Journey to Prom page. We will be there at Ogden and Prom in a few weeks along with thousands of others.

  2. WHY WOULD AMTRAK’S SOFTWARE ON LINE ACCEPT THE TICKET ORDER AT THE UNSTAFFED STATION IF IT WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO. IT SHOULD HAVE FLAGED THE ORDER. THEY OWN HER AN APOLOLGY AND A FREE RIDE. MUST HAVE BEEN POLICY RULE # 78, TO DO ANYTHING THEY CAN TO TURN AWAY CUSTOMERS.

  3. “Shay” guys, how can y’all talk Western North Carolina w/o mentioning the gone but not forgotten GREAT Graham County Railroad?

…which reminds me that once upon a time some dude by the name of Jim Wrinn was going to write a book about the GCR…
