Alaska Railroad seeks entrants for photo contest NEWSWIRE

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska Railroad is once again running its Catch the Train Photo contest, with winning photos to be featured in the railroad’s calendar and a grand prize including $1,500 and a travel package.

Submissions for the contest end Dec. 8. Winning photos will be featured in the railroad’s 2021 calendar. The Grand Prize winner will receive $1,500, rail fare for four on the railroad’s Denali Star train, and a one-night stay for four in a room at the Denali Bluffs Hotel overlooking the Nenana River. Other finalists will be featured in the calendar and company magazine, and receive round-trip rail fare for two.

Finalists will be announced on or around Jan. 6, 2020, with online voting to determine the grand prize winner, to be announced on or around Jan. 21, 2020. Entrants must be 18 or older and may submit an unlimited number of photos. More information and rules are available at the railroad’s website.
