CRP&A accepting submissions for 2020 photo contest NEWSWIRE

MADISON, Wis. – The Center for Railroad Photography & Art is accepting submissions for its 2020 John E. Gruber Creative Photography Awards Program. The theme is “connections.”
The subject theme is open to each individual’s interpretation related in some manner to railroading, with a limit of three digitally submitted images per photographer. Images must be taken within the past five years.

Submissions are due May 1, 2020, and award notifications will be made on Aug. 1.

Prizes awarded include:
  • First place, $750
  • Second place, $500
  • Third place, $250
  • Judges Also Liked, one-year subscription to Railroad Heritage

  2. John Gruber’s visionary act in establishing the CRP&A (sounds like an acronym for a true transcontinental) was matched by getting it up and running. To the present an organization well worth the cost of membership.
    A personal note: in the early 1960’s accompanied John on a fan rip behind the fabulous CB&Q O-5 Northern 5632. RIP.
