MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin’s College of Engineering is offering four continuing education classes this spring in Madison and Philadelphia.

They are:

•Fundamentals of Railway Bridge Engineering, to be held March 31 to April 1 in Philadelphia

•Fundamentals of Electric Rail Vehicle Systems: Design, Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance, to be held April 21 and 22 in Philadelphia

•Fundamentals of Traction Power Systems and Overhead Contact Systems, to be held May 12 and 13 in Madison

•Railroad Track Construction Project Management, to be held May 19 and 20, in Madison.

  1. Seems to me the Traction Power and Overhead should be in Philly too. Amtrak has High Speed experience and SEPTA has Commuter, Rapid Transit, Light Rail and Streetcar experience.

  2. CURTIS – Three different U-Wisconsin branches each have great engineering departments.
