We’re all looking for the most realism we can create when working with our “Train World.” This includes everything from the trains, the structures, and the scenery. And what do we use for a pattern for our miniature world? Well, real life of course!

In real life, not everyone lives in nice, new houses on nice paved roads. In fact, there are many people who live in “less-than-standard” housing all over the country. So why don’t we add some of this “less-than-standard” housing to our layouts?

To fill this need on my layout, a toy and hobby distributor called IMEX Model Company has just what I was looking for, a new line of N scale trailer homes. These trailers will fit just perfectly into my upcoming layout addition!

The IMEX Model Company offers three different wonderfully detailed trailer homes. These are not kits, but rather finished models. The three trailers are each painted in a different color, and are of different designs. These models come individually packaged in sturdy clear plastic displays.

I was pleasantly surprised at the detail that had been added to these trailers. Items like propane tanks, front jacks, skirting, and window frames. I would have expected to find these detail items on much more expensive models than something selling for only about $10.

If you’re looking for “something different” to fill out your layout, I would suggest you look into these N scale trailer homes from the IMEX Model Company. I am certainly pleased with mine!
