Santa Fe 4-4-2 No. 1440 leads the Colorado & Southern’s southbound Pike’s Peak Special over a stone culvert on the “Joint Line” between Denver and Colorado Springs in 1910. The C&S train is operating on trackage rights over the Santa Fe, which shares the route with the Denver & Rio Grande.
