The double-deck Leadville & Red Cliff RR models a modern-era main line on the lower deck and steam-era railroading on the upper deck. All the scenes on Bill Brown’s HO scale model train layout feature stunning central Colorado scenery.

  1. i lived in Red Cliff for many years and often wondered- and still do- why no one ever modeled the now abandoned drg&w line from Minturn, past the Eagle mines at Belden, over Tennessee Pass to Leadville. It would be a great point to point with helpers added after service at Minturn, removed after the pass and run back down- ore cars picked up and dropped off at Belden; snow plows working a four foot overnight snow fall….. there’s a run-a-way train movie out there somewhere taken of the trip…. google Eagle Mine Gilman, Co.

  3. A great video of an extremely excellent pair of layouts. I also appreciated the sound effects of the cows mooing. Thank you for sharing it.

  4. Being a “Brown” for 77 years makes me more proud to say “Bill” what a great layout depicting the steam and diesel era’s so vividly and unique. Your display shows why it is worthwhile to adhere to basic principles of “show & tell’. Your time and display reflects well for many modelers to follow & maintain……keep up the good works.

  5. Wow didn’t read the description. First I was confused, how can you run these 2 things together, then I saw it was 2 different layouts, one on each deck. Neat idea, loved the cows mooing.
