While watching the MR Web Cam, I decided to pull up the Rochelle web cam and guess who walks into the video frame to shoot pics of a WB Union Pacific auto-rack followed by WB UP mixed manifest… none other than master-modeler Pelle Soeborg. What a coincidence!
Pelle,
It was good to meet you and sit in on your two clinics at the Deshler, NE train show. Thanks for the picture with you and the postcards you gave away. Look forward to your next project.

You are the best. I am 69 years old, I came from humble beginnings with a 1959 Lionel Wabash Geep to an 11 X 14 room devoted to my HO railroad. Looking at your pictures and reading your books keep me going. Well done.
Great job Pelle. I kept waiting for the brakeman to wave!
Awesome stuff!! Just please help a dumb 'murcan with one thing: HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE YOUR NAME?!?
Beautiful layout, but a couple of things. Whistle calls not quite right and no ditch lights in yard limits unless on main line.
This is one of the BEST layouts I've ever seen! I love all the DCC sounds! I like how the camera follows the train. Keep up the good work, Pelle!
I lived in Ca. most my life…and hardly if ever comment but, in this case I felt compeled to tell you as i'm sure you know what truly outstanding job. I am looking forward to next mounth's issue to see more of this layout.Really feels like for me,anyway.Mojave.
Pelle, the many facets of your spectacular modeling skills are subtly on display here, a tour de force!

I am 76 I have never lost my small boy wonderment and joy,re. the world of model railroading. Thank you model rr for keeping that world alive for me.
Come on Pelle, make the figure on the locomotive turn his head back and forward. It's not like it N scale.
a near real railroad. i feel the power of the engine.
Awesome job!
Epic!!!!!!
very nice I am giving it a 5+
I can smell the diesel!!
Ultra-realistic. Everything I love about ho. Nice Video!
W0nder how long it took him to make it.
Really nice slow switching moves! I like the low, trackside angle of the photography, which offers highly realistic viewing points!
Looking good sounding great.
Thanks
great video ,
He is a master, just came back traveling from Las Vegas and told passengers about Pelle and how the Desert Wind motel made changes based on what Pelle did on the D&D.
I really like both videos that you showed and the part of the country that you modeled after i have spent a lot of years trucking through, and to tell you the truth it really looks like that part of the country. It makes me feel like i am back in southern California. After all these years it looks like Mojave, California. Thanks
Well done indeed.
Pelle's work in realistic landscaping always looks great. His way of capturing the true flavour of the desert township is so realistic.
The camera work is a large part of the expertise, giving low down views that place the viewer right into the scene. Also photographed with a good depth of field to keep focus on all of the small details beside the track. These little details are the items that make it hard to pick between model from real life. Thanks for a great article.
