good work on the WSOR Troy Branch. this came out before Bay Junction was redone but WSOR is a good layout.
I am making a railroad yard, do I hook the turnouts directly together because when I do the turnout lever hits the other turnout?
This is my favorite of all Model Railroader project layouts.

very nice layout , I was talking with allen keller who use to film model railroads for mr magazine . I ordered some videos to help perfect my new layout. After all i am getting up there in age, and i want this layout to be my best ever. model railroading is the best hobby ever ever.
Definitely a good stand-alone layout for the home builder. One operator could keep very busy off by himself/herself while the other ops are working the MR&T.
I just love your layout. I have a question about Rix and Pikestuff kits-can the doors be arranged to change the configuration?

It really gives me an idea of how an interchange yard would look when the train reached the MR&T. Also, the WSOR portion looked quite large though it wasn't much space to work with because of the stuctures.
I like how you all worked together to achieve such continuity. This hasn't been your first project as such though. Is the Clinchfield RR still about? I was thinking it was renovated and sold. Really nice railroad (both).
Very nice guys. Has anyone seen a scale octagonal barn? You will soon as I scratchbuilt and lit one for my layout. Will send photos soon and see what you think. I love model railroading but never immersed myself as deeply as I Have the last two years. Thanks for a quality magazine. Jim
I'm planning on using this branch as a portion of my layout. I will be following the instructions in each issue and do not plan on changing to much of the original ideas. Great midwestern switching area.
Seeing this video makes mewanna operate this layout in person! Once I complete college, I'll strongly consider joining you guys!

This is a very nice shelf-type layout…one of the better ones I've ever seen. What surprises me throughout the video tour is the fact that none of the locomotives seem to have sound decoders installed in them. Wonder what's up with that? All in all though, it would be alot of fun to operate, especially with all of the switching moves you could perform. Great work and great modelling too.
What kits did you guys use to create your paper mill? I am interested in modeling one, and with the Walthers Superior Paper Mill being so rare and hard to get, i was interested in findind some nice buildings to use in its place.

What really impresses me besides the very nice modeling work is that you guys seem to maximize the space you have available and make the most out of it. What are the dimensions of the actual layouts and how many inches is the deepest scene? As always the video series are very inspirational
Was this layout built in MR issues? If so, which ones and is the track plan available?
