  1. Good looking locomotive with great sound and lighting effects. I am curious, however, as to why the front of the cab is tilted to the rear. The gap is clearly visible at the front of the cab and is definitely not present at the rear. Did it arrive from BLI like that or was it disassembled at the MR offices and just didn't seat back down right?

  2. I guess it's a good thing I model in N scale. Growing up in the SF Bay Area, I saw SP's SW1500s all the time, even getting to ride in one at the SF commuter station while the crew switched trains around. Looks like a really nice unit.

  3. This seems to be a smooth running unit. And, Dana, your coupling skills have really improved.
Still wondering why the prime mover sounds overwhelm the air horn. Although it is a neat feature, there should be no reason for operating the gyra-lite in yard service. The headlight would also be dimmed. The gyra-lite applied to SP/SSW units as they were sometimes used in road service; nothing beats a 1500 on the point of 4 or 5 SD-40/45's.
I suppose if one wants this unit in crimson and red, one must get the Cotton Belt version.
