  1. This is an amazing piece of engineering, and the sound and smoke makes you believe you're at Trackside. I just might have to see if my railroad
expenditure fund can make this come to life on my model railroad for 2008!!

  2. Having recently made the switch from HO to O for just these very reasons, (these wonderful sounds) not to mention that I am too old to go back to school for an engineering degree to learn all the pariculars of DCC, MTH offers us everything I have wanted in HO but never got … including Leroy! 😉 and an intuitive system to run them with. this is the future! AIN'T IT GREAT!!! Love those sounds!

  3. Beautiful detail and sound – minus Leroy. I model Wabash however so I'll have to be satisifed viewing the video.

  4. im a steam man. mth is on the right track, and im looking foarward to more. leroy is never ready for another pick, so engineer, fireman chatter would be more like real cab talk.

  5. The sync sound seems to cycle; sometimes apart, sometimes almost together. Is this protypical? The smoke action is terrific! Very smooth action… must have been quite a machine! I'm also a UP fan so I'll just have to salivate. Yeah, 'Leroy' needs to be dumped!!!

  6. Nice looking and running in the video, but who the heck is Leroy? I sure would not want that type of 'voice over' on any of my sound units. Maybe my 7 year old Thomas the Train fan grandson would like that.

The use of the MTH system to get full sound is a real negative to me and I am sure most DCC owners.

  7. I would love it, but it's too big for my layout. I do have the MTH K-4 and it's the best and most fun investment I've made. It is unbelievably realistic both with the sound and especially the synchronized puffing smaoke!
