Good on yer, Mike. (NZ)
I have been looking for an less expensive alternative, so Thanks Kent… great job and supports the theory that you can teach something new to "Old modelers"!!!
Great video. Next purchase static grass applicator.
great demo
Kent,
I have used the Noch grass applicator before, but was not aware of the Grass Tech unit. The Grass Tech would be a lot easier to use in tighter areas. I'm so happy you pointed this unit out and showed how well it works. THANK YOU!
Cool vid, thanks for the info. ?.
Can make the applicator from a electronic flyswat and a tea strainer for about $10.Search youtube under static grass applicator.
Good job Kent. Wish I had seen this before I put money down on the bulkier model I purchased. Gonna try my first patch this evening!!!
Great job, short, sweet and informative
Great job. Short & sweet. Nicely done. I live and model in the arid west. Could you show us how to model bunchgrass and sagebrush. Perhaps yellow flowered rabbit bush? Love the inserts letting us know where to acquire the products demonstrated.( I am 60 miles away from the nearest hobby shop). Look forward to more. Thanks for knowledge and input.
Great video Kent… very helpful as I always wanted to know how to add this product to my layout scenery in the future. Thanks! (no bloopers like Cody's Office?)
Glad to hear this demo was helpful! We’ll keep’em coming…
Melissa—I’d stick to the shorter lengths of grass. Woodland Scenics fibers barely stand 1/16” tall, so they’ll work just fine on an N scale layout.
Rich—Great to hear from you, buddy! The MRVP cameras will be on hand for the popular Trainfest event in Milwaukee, Wis. (Nov. 9 – 10, 2013), so I’ll be sure to look for you there!
Hi Kent! Nice video!! What size of static grass would be good to use for N scale? Thanks!
Nice overview of the topic – Thanks!
Nice demo Kent. We're planning on doing new scenery work on our Independent Hi-Railers layout this winter and I'm wanting to use static grass for some areas. I like the new applicator you're using. It looks better than the clunky thing I've used in the past.
Stop by the layout and say "hi" at Trainfest this weekend!
