Hudson No. 501, one of Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo’s two ex-New York Central J-1 4-6-4s, approaches Bayview, the junction just west of Hamilton, with a Buffalo–Toronto passenger train in about 1950.

Waterford local

Consolidation No. 103 stands with combine No. 37 at Waterford on Oct. 30, 1950. The train came in as No. 145 from Hamilton and will return a couple of hours later as 144.

Flying toward Hamilton and Buffalo

Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 No. 2332 flies low at Oakville with a 10-car Toronto–Buffalo train on Aug. 26, 1947. The morning train out of Toronto is on CP trackage, on which it operates as 721; upon entering Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo trackage at Hamilton, it will become TH&B 372.

Pacific on a fan trip

Shined up and sporting fresh white tires and running boards, Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo 4-6-2 No. 15 crosses the Welland River at Port Davidson, Ontario, with an NRHS excursion train on the branch to Dunnville and Port Maitland. The Aug. 5, 1955, outing was one of the Pacific’s last.
