  1. Good to see some coverage of the NC&StL. My Grandfather was a brakeman for them in the early 20th century, and was killed in an accident near Bruceton TN in 1909 at age 24. I’m a bit too young, but remember some post-merger L&N power still in NC&StL livery. Solid black with sparse white lettering. The photo of the streamlined steam loco in bright blue and white is interesting. I never knew of that color scheme.
