Agreed, Jeffrey. I’m cracking up at the picture of an Atlantic Coast Line passenger train leaving Richmond, Virginia. First, the ACL was known for its double-tracked racetrack along the coastal plain between Florida and Virginia. Second, I went to school in Richmond; there are no mountains in this city that sits on the fall line. 🤨
AM I the only one who thinks that photos of mountain railroads should at least have mountains in them? SOme of the places and railroads depicted in these photos are by no stretch of the imagination mountain railroads.
