very interesting, looked like a nice RR, never knew much about it. Friend did get meet the engineer on the Pere Marquette steam engine that was the model for Polar Express at steam event in Owosso and she brought me back a bear autographed by him. I was unable to go as had just gotten home from hospital with strep pneumonia. Did not know they had car ferries too.
This photo is in Lansing, Michigan, and the train is westbound. Boxcars in distance are spotted at the PM freighthouse and the ones to the right are at the MC freighthouse. Tall smoke stack in distance is for the original Prudden Wheel Company factory which became Motor Wheel in 1920. Line poles are also a correct for Lansing.

Interesting photo series of one of the “unknown” railroads, especially those from Delray Junction and Muskegon, MI.
