FAMILY FUN 101: The latest reproduction of a Lionel dealer poster from the postwar era is available now. The no. D-206 shows a wonderful scene of trains and excitement from 1960. Featured in the scene are a Lionel ZW transformer, a no. 1633 U.S. Navy freight set, and the nos. 175 rocket launcher, 264 fork lift platform, and 3662 operating milk car. Making a cameo appearance is a Lionel HO set powered by a Santa Fe diesel. This full-color scene was created by Madison Poster Co. using original Lionel artwork and was restored to original condition. Two sizes are available: a 19 x 32-inch version for $99.95 and a limited-edition 35 x 50-inch version individually numbered and signed by Lionel President Howard Hitchcock for $199.95. The no. 20-20330-1 Amtrak (Be Track Smart) diesel features singular color graphics in the cause of trackside safety. AMTRAK AT 40: Williams by Bachmann’s latest release of the General Electric Genesis passenger diesel features an historic livery: Amtrak’s PHASE I “Pointless Arrow: design from the nationalrail carrier’s earlu days. It also carried the logo “Amtrak 1971 2011” commemorating the line’s 40th anniversary. The locomotive also comes in AMTRAK Phase V, and New Haven (Connecticut Dept. of Transportation).
