You’ll need to remove a section of track to install this accessory. Once you have wired the shed, on/off switch, and turntable controller, you’re ready for action. Run the speeder down the track and stop it on the turntable.
The instructions note that you may need some practice to stop the speeder just in the right spot.
Pull the turntable switch and the table will rotate 90 degrees. Drive the speeder forward, and, as the instructions note, “The doors of the shed will open when bumped by the speeder. Once the speeder contacts the bumper at the rear of the shed track, switch its direction to neutral.”
When you need your speeder again, back it onto the turntable and activate the turntable controller. The speeder will be rotated back into position and poised for mainline running!
It’s worth mentioning that the speeder’s reverse-unit default is to go forward if left sitting without power. So be careful that you don’t accidentally knock a hole in the back wall of the shed! K-Line’s track-speeder shed is a unique accessory that adds another element of fun to O gauge layouts.
