I got an older Brunswick Green version for Christmas. For more operational fun I swapped out the electronic e-unit for an Electric Rail Road Co. TMCC/Cruise package and the Tru-Blast horn/bell for an ERRCo GG-1 sound set. I kept the Williams motors and speaker intact.
I now run this at the head of my Lionel PRR repro Irvington Cars from the late 90's. What a fine looking and running set!
Jonathan, I would like to try insaling GG1 sound set, but could not find ERRCo! Got any help ?
Looks like an awesome set I've always wanted a GG1 and this looks like the one I'm going to buy not only for quality but price.
Thanks Kirk
Looks like Williams by Bachmann has carried on the tradition
of great looking and durable engines and cars, as evidenced
by their latest release of the venerable GG1, and aluminum
passenger cars. GG1 and postwar fans should be pleased with
this one. I had an older Williams GG1 like this one, and it always
performed flawlessly, Iam sure this set will be no exception.
I currently own four Williams locos, Santa Fe F3 ABAs, PRR Alco FA AAs, C&O BL2 and a just recently purchased PRR Small Hudson. I am very pleased so far with the quality of the Williams By Bachmann locos and am looking forward to picking up both a tuscan red and a brunswick green GG1.
Cobrabob.
very nicely done worth looking into
