It sounds and looks great; perfect for running those DRGW snowplows in front. You need to file the couplers on all those Menards cars down and use some silicone spray so they slide and open easier. We will hope Bob notifies Menards.
I bought one of these Backmann 44 toner last week. I really enjoy it, and it runs very well. Great little engine for my shelf layout. Just the right size for the yard. The sounds a really something as well.
Awesome new model. I remember photographing one of these at Craig AFB in Selma, Alabama, when I was stationed there in 1969. Always thought a scale 44 tonner in O would be a winner. This is!!! Wonder if you could shoehorn a TMCC module in this baby? Then I could use it on my layout.
I loved the outtake at the end, no wonder I'm scared to take mine out of the box!
I just got mine yesterday(May 26th) it runs great. Williams really hit one out of the park this time.
Menards cars, I've bought several cars, and have found that there is a couple of issues. One issues is with the couplers. They don't work very well. Some won't close when engage with another coupler, some won't open all the way. Also I bought a flat car, with the maenads pick-up attach, which has the tail light, and head lights working. It blew the 22 muf Cap other day. Shared everybody, some though somebody fired a gun. Just wanted to now if other people are having some problems with Menard cars as well.
As of May 19th, my retailer does not have this one in stock. I hope they come in soon.
