  1. Great layout. I liked the rock outcropping and painted backdrop. I am tempted to try some backdrop painting myself, as I have similar scenery in progress in some corners. Thanks for the inspiration.
Ballasted track looks great with rusted rail. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Congratulations Bo. I've been in the hobby for ten years, and your layout has a very pleasing realism and charm. My favorite that I've seen in CTT, and an inspiration.

  3. Bo, thanks for that wonderful video. Also, when I turned to page 49 of the January issue of CTT I just about flipped out. What a beautiful picture of a beautiful layout. So well done. So very tasteful. Not over done. Just right. john.

  4. Richard, the High Line seen in the video was added to take the railroad into an adjoining room (West Virginia). During the design phase of the railroad the layout was divided into three stages. The first stage shown in the photos/video represents Pennsylvania, the second stage currently under construction is a large city scene (New York) and the final stage is West Virginia which will take the railroad into the adjoining room. This final stage calls for a small mountain community, a coal mine and a reverse loop that will allow for the turning of trains and permit them to return to the main room. I apologize for not have responded sooner to your question. Bo

  5. Enjoyed the video and it was nice to see the layout in action. I really liked the last shot of the Loco coming out of the tunnel. I agree about the music – volume could be lowered.

  6. Great video, but I'd rather hear the train sounds than the music track. Please! Lower the music, or kill it completely!

  7. Great layout and video. Question on the track plan shown in CTT: where does the track go on the elevated line after it enters the tunnel portal? An adjoining room?
    Thanks
