  1. Fantastic all around , I have came back over & over and viewed Jeff's Layout borrowing ideas from his to use on my own and being a Southern Pacific , Cab Forward Junkie , I just can't get enough of Western Modeling done like this . Living in Vacaville , California I'm in the heart of what used to be the greatest railroading hands down no matter which direction I would travel . We are well into 2014 now and I hope Jeff checks in some time to read my comments . Nice Job ! Jim

  2. I'm a Toy Train "Round-and-round" and year round Christmas layout, totally overwhelmed by the modeling skills as shown by Jeff Silk. Beautiful and enjoyable viewing.

  3. Hi Sid – full footage of Jeff's railroad can be seen in "World Class HiRail Layouts Part 3" by TM Books & Video.

  4. Great layout would like to see more. The video was to short to see everything that was on the layout. ob

  5. I agree, it was too short. I would have liked to see longer pauses or slower scans to really appreciate the detail of the layout.
I too dream of such a layout.
    Thanks for sharing.

  6. I put this up on our big screen TV and even my wife who usually just tollerates train vidoes was very impressed

  7. So how do you begin to comment on the masters of modeling videos? These two, tom and Joe should be awarded an emmy. And the layout?,,another classic creation! Thanks everyone for the experience.

  8. So very nice! Where do I get the long, curved girders (shown here) to use on the sides of my elevated line?

  9. It be nice if we got to see something instead of continuously flashing from one scene to another, didn't really have time to see any of the details.
