  1. Hi Kent,

I live on Vancouver Island (where we can still ride VIA Rail RDC's!) and my in-laws live over in Vancouver. I railfan in the locations you are modeling. Therefore I have become an instant fan of your layout.

    Cheers,
    Terry

  2. Welcome to Canada everyone. Great job Kent, excellent pictures in the Nov issuse. Isn't TMCC great ! I have 18 grain cars on my C.P.unit train on my 25'x35' layout. Also C.N. & B.C.R. units all on TMCC. The layout is set up in a mall ,we are open every Sat for the kids & everyone to enjoy! I love the Classic Toy Magazine , keep up the excellent work ,Thank you contact me at dmmower@hotmail.com

  3. Great layout! I'm a subscriber from day one but I'm still playing with bare sheets of plywood! Though a child of the 50's, I'm really fired up by the wonderful new technology available to us. My granddaughters have a ball with my TMCC trains. I think they relate to the "video game" aspect of the controller. No more slamming the ZW handle to full power sending trains careening of the nearest curve!! I've pretty much retired my postwar equipment. Great magazine. The online videos are great! Keep up the good work!

  4. Hey Kent! Being an O gauge operator/collector from Canada, I couldn't wait to see what your layout was going to look like when you mentioned it a few years ago in CTT. It certainly lived up to it!!! I can't wait to see more!!! Awesome job!!

  5. Kent, you have a great layout! I always look forward to your articles and have been waiting for CTT to do a layout visit since pictures of your layout started appearing with some of your articles. Thanks!

  6. Kent, fantastic job! I am almost solely a steam locomotive guy, but a look at you layout has me seeing diesels in a different light.

  7. It is someting I would like to have. Great job. I know my grand kids would like the passenger train announcements. It makes you feel like you are there.

  8. KENT, OUTSTANDING job!!!! Talked about it at YORK with you, but was totally blown away. Love the sidewalk with the gutter inlets built in. Well done KENT!

  9. Your article was great, seeing the video awesome. I really related to all you had to say; from inspiration via layout photographs to honing compremising skills. Can't wait to see how you progress-would be great to add a section on construction too.

  10. Being from Vancouver and knowing that area well you have done a great job of getting all the details. Great job.

  11. There certainly are advantages to 21st Century technology! A very impressive layout. Good filming, too! The passenger train announcements were really fun. This layout is about as lifelike as anyone can get it, without being on a real train.

  12. My wife Marvell and I met you at the York meet in 2007,it was great talking to you. Outstanding layout Kent……………….Ken & Marvell Allen
