A fun and funny look at my recollections of traveling Route 66, as a child with my parents, to visit my grandparents in California. Very whimsical.

It was the “Blue Goose.”
Amazing how so many of us have shared experiences. His love of trains was due to going to California to visit grandparents. I lived in California and visited grandparents in Oklahoma. Either by train or by car along route 66. Nice work.
Really a fun layout. I enjoyed it. Dug the music too. And a special treat, Santa Fe F units in red and black instead of red and silver.
lots and lots of personality in this layout!
I was very impressed by the large number of very detailed scenes. Great modeling! Keep up the good work.
Nice work especially bringing the plasticville pieces to life again
Fun to watch. Lots of high speed passenger trains and imaginative scenes. Good job.
Thanks for sharing – enjoyed!
WOW what a layout! I sure hope that mine looks that good when it is done. great Job all over
All the kids must be at school when the trains are run. These guys are pretty sharp too. When the camera is on them, their "ginger ales" are no where in sight.
Super cool, its a lot of work very well done. I also liked the simulated accident nice touch, thanks for sharing.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing your layout.
Yeah, I enjoyed the video of the layout and would agree with Dennis that it is whimsical, even the choice of the locos add tothat, I think. I was struck by the black, blue and yellow Warbonnet Santa Fe diesels on the layout plus the Blue Bullet Nose Lionel Stream liner (I forgot what you call it). It all seemed to fit the mood of what Dennis was going for. I liked the way he used the various structures and how he had them placed on the layout. And I agree, the music was good. I remember TV's "Petticoat Junction" — some great eye candy on display, especially Bobbi Jo. Thanks for sharing.
enjoyed watching this very much
Great layout. The Coral Court sign and motel units are spot on.
Why does it seem any Lionel trains are always running fast ? Great detailed lay out !!
Great layout and video. "Beware of the Blob"
Neat Video. Loved the Santa Fe trains. I see we have another "Midnight Chief" lover!
Great job, love all the passenger trains
Fun, brought back some early memories of troy trains and plastic vill buildings.
So much detail. Love the sense of humor in your scenes.
Nice Layout!
